Allergies, Hayfever, Asthma, Eczema

In a 5 year observational study at the Bristol Homeopathic Hospital 82% of eczema patients and 89% of asthma patients reported some improvement of symptoms, with 68% and 75% respectively showing significant improvement. Following treatment at the same hospital many patients were able to reduce or stop conventional medication following homeopathic treatment.

Several research studies of homeopathy have shown positive results in allergies, respiratory tract infections and hayfever.

I have seen for myself the huge benefits that homeopathy can offer in this area. Two of my children, who had asthma, hayfever and animal fur allergies, were able to come off inhalers and antihistamines completely. The main difference between homeopathic and conventional treatment is that, not only do the symptoms improve, but the severity of the allergy is gradually reduced and in many cases does not recur. Occasional homeopathic treatment will still be required in many cases as a ‘maintenance’ dose, but the result, for my family at least, is that we haven’t used the asthma inhaler for as long as I can remember.

Homeopathic remedies can safely be used alongside conventional medicine, allowing a very gradual and safe withdrawal process, which can be adjusted to suit individual sensitivities and circumstances. It is a good idea to let your GP know before starting the process, even if they are not enthusiastic about homeopathy.

The damaging effects of long-term use of steroid cream are well-known. Homeopathy can be helpful for a variety of skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, acne, urticaria and molluscum, and I have seen very positive results in this area.

‘I had been suffering for a long time with very dry, itchy skin, which seemed to be an allergic reaction to dust, pollen and some foods. At times my face and eyes were so red and swollen that I didnt want to go out and the itching would drive me mad. Soon after starting homeopathic treatment with Clare, my skin cleared. I now only need occasional treatment to keep the problem under control and I am very happy with the outcome.’
